To start a thesis at the University of Aix-Marseille, you need to have funding for the thesis, a thesis director and a host laboratory, as well as a Master 2 degree with ECTS credits or a degree from a country that has signed the Bologna Convention.

If your profile is accepted, we can circulate it to laboratories likely to be interested in your application.
PhD students with foreign degrees, WITHOUT ECTS credits
- Your country is not a member of the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region.
- Your diploma does not have ECTS credits
Your thesis entry diploma must be approved by the University's Research Commission BEFORE you register administratively.
